The Living Boat Trust

The Living Boat Trust (LBT) is an incorporated, membership based, non-profit association located in Franklin on the banks of the Huon River in southern Tasmania. It was founded in 1998.

It is dedicated to keeping Tasmania's marine heritage alive. It aims to maintain traditional boat building, repairing, rowing and sailing skills, and to be a vital part of its community. It celebrates the history and beauty of this area and strive for a sustainable way of life for all concerned.

The LBT runs a Raid, The Tawe Nunnugah every two years aligned with the Wooden Boat Festival held in Hobart. The Tawe Nunnugah starts near Cockle Creek at Recherche Bay and makes its way as a smail fleet of boats to Hobart over several days, arriving in time to join the Parade of Sail at the commencement of the WBF.
